You see protein bars everywhere these days. Literally every store sells them. I’ve tried them and I’m sure you have too; but did you like them? I found some for I liked and purchased for a while. They didn’t taste too bad and I thought I was doing the right thing by having a protein bar for an afternoon snack. When I began to look more into the ingredients I was consuming I stopped buying them as much.
I did a little searching for vegan protein bars and I found a few that weren’t very palatable. After that I just gave up. Fast forward to the day Moms Meet emailed me and said “hey, wanna try these refrigerated protein bars?”. I thought to myself if the bars have to be refrigerated they must be natural which means they must be healthy. I agreed and I’m hooked!
When Perfect Bar landed on my porch I was unsure of what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The bars really taste good. They don’t have that chalky texture or aftertaste you usually find in protein bars. Perfect Bar sent me their Mini Peanut Butter, Mini Almond Butter, Dark Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter, Blueberry Cashew and Almond Coconut bars. The Dark Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter and Blueberry Cashew are my faves. Camille likes those and the Peanut Butter. B liked the Blueberry Cashew but only eats half the bar at a time. I like to let the bars thaw until semi-soft before enjoying. Camille will eat them cold but I feel better giving her the bars when their easier to chew. I usually toss a mini bar or two in Camille’s snack bag.
Perfect Bars are non-GMO, Kosher, and gluten free. They are nut based so they may not be school safe (depends on the school/district). Perfect Bar also sneaks 20 super foods into the protein bars which is great for kids that prefer more sweets than veggies.
If you’ve ever had Perfect Bars let me know your fave flavor. If you’re planning to purchase let me know what flavor you have you eye on. I have my eye on the new Pumpkin Pie bar!
