Welcome back to another week of my bed rest adventures! This was a rather exciting week as I left the house twice! I just so happened to have two appointments this week and also hung out for a while after each. Let’s do a daily round up, shall we?
Thursday – Saturday
Not too much exciting happened. I sat out on the porch a few times, but the mosquitoes were eating me alive so that was a short lived experience. Oh and those bees… What can I do to get rid of them? The ones on the front porch are attracted to the honeysuckle bush. The ones out back are ginormous and attracted to anything.
My first Mother’s Day. Seeing as how I’m on bed rest not much was planned. I received an adorable card in the mail from my great aunt and B brought home a lovely card as well as some Cold Stone Creamery treats! He sure knows the way to my heart! I also love that my friends called/texted to wish me a happy mother’s day.
I got outta here! We hit the OB’s office with excitement, at least I was excited. All is well from what the weekly ultrasound reports show and it looks like my baby girl is staying safe in the oven. Remember last week I wrote about redesigning my living room? Well, we went to check out the sectional sofa I posted. Ummm…it looks nice and all but has no support whatsoever. After walking around and around the showroom we decided we liked another brand much better. The cost, however, was not what I was intending to spend at the time, but we love the sofa and decided to spend the extra money…after we shop around a bit more.
This started out as a rough day. Family drama played out on Facebook (of all freaking places) and it really pissed me off. I had to block a family member from FB and my phone because the stress just isn’t worth my baby. After that was settled I felt a sigh of relief and continued with my day…on the couch.
I made it outta here again! These weekly ultrasounds really give me something to look forward to. Things went great and my body is responding well to the meds and relaxation. Baby girl looks great and is currently in a breech position. Afterwards, my coworker came over to see me (I work at the same facility where I receive treatment). It was great to see her, I really miss her. I ran some errands with B before coming home and got a slice of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake out of the trip.
All in all the week was cool and I learned a few things about myself:
- I really do enjoy my own company
- I’m learning to give more and let go of being selfish
- It feels good to let go
- I’m learning how to let others take care of me
Well, that’s all for now. I’ll get back to my Netflix playlist and my cheesecake!
