It’s that time of week again.
I finally settled on a planner. At-A-Glance Weekly Monthly. There were so many options I decided to go simple. I’d love to tell you I love it but it has yet to arrive. This bugs me because I keep forgetting to do stuff. The longer I’m home it seems like this less organized I become.
Worked on de-cluttering. Finalized baby shower decor, games, prizes and favors. Scratched this off my to-do list and then yesterday morning Pinterest shows me something else! Now I’m confused again!
Nothing to write home about. Just chillin’. Oh yeah, after more research and emails there are still no available Lamaze classes in my area, so we decided to take the online course. Out of the loop on this one? Reference this post.
I realized lots of things about myself and reflected on the type of mother I want to be. There are things I’ve learned from my Mom that I do and don’t wish to give to my daughter. Don’t get me wrong, she wasn’t a bad Mother at all, just some traits I don’t care for. I just need to do weekly/monthly check-ins with myself to ensure I’m being the parent I want to be and not subconsciously doing what I was taught.
More reflection on myself. Did some reading. I’m enjoying The Success Principles by Jack Canfield and Janet Switzer. It’s a good read, long though. My baby shower invitations came in, I love them! I worked with a young lady on Fiverr.com. Her response time and work are awesome! I love that it’s a custom design and it matches my color scheme.
I also spent some time trying to flip this breech baby, no luck though. She’s sitting right on her butt and refuses to move.
Made some spaghetti, read some Mom blogs, watched TV. I also realized the blogger Facebook groups I’m in are becoming too much to keep up with. Yet I continue to join them. I even considered creating one.
I saw this somewhere on the interwebs a few days ago and it was like a light bulb came on. It’s been helping to keep my goals as priorities. It also made me wanna create that Facebook group.
As I was searching for Mom blogs, (my new obsession) I came across BabyBrownSugar.com. I knew it existed but it fell off my radar. It’s run by Christina Brown of LoveBrownSugar.com, she started it while she was pregnant with her little princess. I was so into this blog I was commenting on posts from two years ago! Her story is so similar to mine I couldn’t help it. She posts great tips and products reviews, definitely check her out.
Today I had an ultrasound as usual. Everything looks good, I’m still pregnant! From the pics I saw today I’m thinking I’m gonna birth a 9 lb baby…8 lb minimum. Yesterday she began feeling heavy and today I could see why. Afterwards we stopped by CVS to pick up Essence and Forbes magazines, neither were out yet.
Well folks, that’s about all that’s going on in my world. Nothing to exciting for those of you that aren’t on bed rest and can leave the house but hey, it’s all I got.
